Yesterday marked the day we have celebrated as Thanksgiving for several hundred years in North America.

It seems reasonable to expect that most of our Thanksgiving celebrations were different from what they have been before. Even when the same group of people gathered around the same table, the celebration likely felt different. Simply because the emotional environment is different from what it has been.

I can not remember a time in my short life where we have received such a barrage of fear messaging. Be afraid of corona virus. Be afraid of people, who might give you corona virus. Be afraid of political stunts and craziness. Be afraid of differing viewpoints. Expect 2020 to dish out even more trials and frustrations for you. Be afraid.

The antidote to fear is love and gratitude. Let us express love and gratitude to our friends, families, and colleagues, and feel fear fade away.

PS. If you are looking for gift or reading suggestions, I have updated my recommended reading list, which is the most popular post I have written. And of course, don’t forget Quality Agriculture.

With love and gratitude for all of you faithful readers and friends. Thank you for showing up, for being here, and for sharing with others.
